I was born and spent most of my childhood fishing the many rivers in North West Michigan. I have been chasing fish of some sort with a fly rod since the age of 9 years old. After an 11-year hitch in the Army I settled here in Tennessee to be close to my children Taylor, Nic, and Gracie.

I have been an avid outdoor writer for 6 years and currently write for Tennessee Valley Outdoors, Mid-South Hunting and Fishing, Ohio Valley Outdoors, as well as write the outdoor columns for the Shelbyville Times Gazette and Lewisburg Tribune. I also own and operate "Creeks Bend Guide Service". I specialize in fly fishing and light tackle fishing trips on the Obey River, Elk River, and plan to have fly fishing trips for Smallmouth and Musky on 2007.
